The following are excerpts from evaluations submitted to the Planning
Committee:
Drinking in the charism of St. Ignatius in the company of
dedicated men and women is a grace. It was and hopefully will remain
a source of strength and inspiration.
A highlight was meeting with others who are passionate about
and committed to living the Ignatian mission/vision in its diversity
of expressions.
Collaboration is relying less on propaganda and more on
established relationships.
We have many gifts to share and wonderful experiences to
build on. Our history is rich, our mission is strong, and our challenges
serious, but we can respond if we work together.
I sense that the Jesuits are serious about collaboration
with lay people and are making a significant investment in promoting
it.
Lets focus our next gathering around priesthood. The
ordained priesthood and the priesthood of all believers.
We should deal realistically with multicultural society and
try to find ways to integrate. We need to lead in this area. This
job will not get done in the Church unless some group steps forward.
We should be doing it.
