Ignatian Leadership for Mission
What past participants have said
Throughout the retreat I experienced a deeper personal and communal awareness of the treasure we share in common in the legacy of Ignatian Spirituality and the need for roots to grow and deepen and new leaves and flowers to blossom.
I experienced God directly in prayer, but perhaps even more strongly in my small group. A great grace of the retreat for me was the joy and hope generated by the enthusiasm of the retreatants for the Exercises. I lived the whole retreat!
The retreat drove home to me the power of sharing faith and praying together.
The experience of God permeated the days - Liturgies, grace groups
and in the silent reflection time.
I left the retreat feeling even greater resolve for the work that
I do and I am looking for a way to deepen my knowledge of Ignatian
Spirituality.
I saw some real possibilities for extending Ignatian Spirituality
into Parish life especially in Faith Formation and in Liturgy.
It was much more than I expected and I thank God for the opportunity
to experience His presence in such an intimate manner.
This may be one of the best retreats ever for me. The presentations
really focused me and my prayer. I will reread the notes and my
retreat journal often.
I think that the most valuable effect was that so many Jesuit and
lay colleagues actually experienced (more than just reading, hearing
and talking about dynamics of the Exercises.
The week was a wonderful experience of laborers in the vineyard
- co laboring, supporting and listening to each other. This was
a wonderful witness to the daily challenge we face.
Many, many thanks to all those that worked so hard to bring this
about...the retreat was a huge gift in my life!
This was one of the most spiritually uplifting retreats I have
had. I sure wish I could bottle the experience.
It was a very Spirit filled and moving experience for me.
