In the 18-month consultation, we analyze the current condition of Latinos in our region and identify the resources necessary to broaden the Church's mission of evangelization, faith formation, social ministry, and advocacy in Hispanic communities. We will engage province superiors and institutional leadership, as well as diocesan and religious congregation leaders in conversation and discernment about how to organize and strengthen our current and future efforts in this area. This research effort will culminate in the development of one or several alternative proposals in which we as a province can address the challenges of our changing demographic and cultural landscape. The proposals will be presented to the Provincial and his Consultors for further consideration and discernment.
