Institute on Migration, Culture and Ministry

As a next step in Maryland Province commitment to Latino Ministry and with an eye toward long term efforts to develop spiritual development programs, leadership training and research on key issues of immigration and ministry, we have established the Institute on Migration, Culture and Ministry.  Fr. Bill Rickle, SJ is the Director, with Jesuits and colleagues spread throughout the East Coast region working “in the field.”

The Institute is an interdisciplinary center engaged in both direct  service and research/reflection/education and communications. A project of the Maryland, New York and New England Provinces of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), The Institute main office is hosted by Loyola College in Maryland.

Our primary purpose is to advance ministry with and on behalf of those who have found it necessary to leave their homelands and seek employment, shelter and a more dignified life in our region.
