Fr. Christopher Fronk, SJ, Selected for the Rank of Captain in the Navy

Fr. Christopher Fronk, SJ, who is currently president of Jesuit High School of New Orleans, has been selected for promotion to the rank of captain in the United States Navy. Before his assignment to Jesuit High, Fr. Fronk served on active duty as a military chaplain in the Navy, as well as with the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Marine Corps. He is currently in the reserve component and assigned to the 4th Marine Division located in New Orleans. We congratulate him on this highly-respected honor.

This summer, Fr. Charles Frederico, SJ, stepped down as director of vocations for the Maryland and USA Northeast Provinces, having served for eight years. Fr. Philip Florio, SJ, will now assume the vocations director role for our two East Coast provinces.

The board of trustees of Georgetown Preparatory School has announced that Fr. James Van Dyke, SJ, has been named the next president of Georgetown Prep, effective July 1, 2018.

Homeboy Industries from LA returned to Sacred Heart Church in Richmond and inspired teens to release their spirit and creativity through painting a wall.

"Building your Jerusalem: Father Michael's Simple Truths to Guide your Faith" is a new book by Fr. Michael Williams, SJ, that helps apply Gospel teachings to encounters of daily life.
