Online Resources For Advent
Make your Advent a prayerful time of anticipation with Jesuit prayer resources.

As members of the greater Ignatian family, we are blessed to have many prayer resources available to us. If you’re looking for something special for Advent, you may want to visit one of the following:

Arts & Faith – an Ignatian spirituality resource from Loyola Press - offers a video commentary about a work of art inspired by the Sunday Scriptures during Advent.

One of our favorites from Loyola Press is the Advent Calendar.

As an aid to individual spiritual preparation for Christmas, the Advent Daily Devotional from Georgetown University presents brief reflections and prayers written by students, faculty, staff, and alumni drawn from the University's Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Christian communities.

Creighton University’s Online Ministries presents “Praying Advent,” which has daily Advent prayers, resources and reflections.

Jesuit Refugee Service/USA has an online Advent calendar that allows you to walk in solidarity with refugees and displaced persons through moments of prayer, reflection, and advocacy.

Another great daily resource for Advent, and all throughout the year, is JesuitPrayer.org. Each day provides the scripture reading, an Ignatian reflection and a short prayer.

Advent is a perfect time to learn about the art of Ignatian discernment and decision-making. Discerning Advent from God in All Things is available by email. Sign up in the sidebar on the homepage of the website.

We hope everyone has a blessed Advent Seasoon as we all prepare for the joy of Emmanuel... God with us.
